The brooding opener I Want You, I Need You introduces the lively back and forth between anxious yearning and bitter resentment that carry throughout the album. The emotive single Tell Me Again and more playful In My Way, break the mould to offer us a lighter moment in the set before the feelings of urgency and anguish return in the classic 80s pop single Who’s Laughing Now. The album's latter section combines the lighter spirit of the record with a softer yet equally as urgent instrumentation, with songs such as the longing and playful Marguerita. This sets us up for the fast-paced desperation of Silver Light, the penultimate track that refuses to let up before finally leading us into the reflective stomper School to close out the record.
